Harnessflex Develops New X-piece Manifold Fittings For Use With A Range Of Vehicle ConduitsDevelopment of the new, space-saving X-piece fittings by Harnessflex, the specialist conduit systems manufacturer, for the protection of electrical circuit integrity on vehicles, initially came from a specific application requirement.
The two-piece fitting is designed to snap together over different types of slit or unslit conduit, including NC, CPTA, modified PP and deep section PP without restricting the conduit bore, to create a crossover or manifold.
What these fittings achieve in addition to ease of assembly is reduced distance between centres, high pull-off strength with the conduit corrugations sitting tightly into the X-piece junctions and the ability to snap together several fittings to provide a manifold format eliminating the need for short conduit runs between the fittings.
"More often than not we work with construction and agricultural vehicle OEMs to help solve problems that they have at the design stage," explained Bob Rudd of Harnessflex. "In fact, this helps them eliminate problems during the life of the vehicle, by avoiding circuit integrity damage resulting in failure."
Combining a full range of fittings and connectors the Harnessflex range offers full electrical system integrity protecting any vulnerable part of the electrical harness affording stability and support for the system. Its use ensures that there are no vulnerable connectors exposed to the elements, which could so easily cause malfunction and failure, compromising the operation of a vehicle.
